ISO certification for transport companies and logistics
In transport, the client entrusts you with their goods — and big shippers do not trust words. Industrial and retail RFQs require certifications from the prequalification stage: without them, your bid is never even opened. General cargo: ISO 9001 as the reliability baseline. Food and cold chain: ISO 22000 focused on temperatures, body-cleaning regimes and traceability — food manufacturers audit their carriers like their suppliers. Sensitive client data (IT systems, track & trace): increasingly, security questionnaires that ISO 27001 answers.
Road safety as a competitive weapon
ISO 39001 is the least widespread — and stands out precisely for that. Multinational shippers with vision-zero policies see it as a strong plus on scorecards, and its implementation (speed, fatigue and fleet-maintenance management) measurably cuts accidents and insurance premiums.
